Champoton and Pedro Cay, left as ownerless orphans by the NPC Raiders' scavenging two days past, have at last found new flags to fly. Spain's CFS has claimed Champoton for the crown, adding a twenty-seventh port to an already imperial ledger, while Great Britain's CWOLF has planted its colours over Pedro Cay, a second port for a clan this Gazette has scarcely had cause to mention before today. Elsewhere the guns are only now being primed: Pirates' GRMLN has called France's ONU to account at Hat Island this afternoon at 13:18 UTC, and the Raiders themselves stir again, with HEART's Cayo Romano summoned for 19:26 UTC and 18BEK's Leogane facing its own trial at 19:53 UTC — a fresh test for two clans who have lately known both triumph and tribulation in these pages.
The treasury table, so long dominated by a single unmoving name, offers a touch more motion this morning even as that name persists. CFS holds its throne for a seventeenth consecutive day, its fresh conquest of Champoton padding an already commanding lead. Below it, 18BEK vaults three places to seventh despite its port count holding steady at seven, a climb owed to standing and not to steel, while PANDA and LVTN each slip two ranks in turn, to ninth and eleventh respectively, their own seven ports likewise unchanged. CWOLF's seizure of Pedro Cay carries it eight places up the board to twenty-fifth, the most emphatic riser this Gazette has recorded in some while, proof that even modest conquest still moves the ledger when the summit will not.
